Purpose: Quick reference for when to do things
No explanations inside the chart — this is intentional


🌅 Early Morning (Sunrise – ~9:00 a.m.)

Plant mode: Energy intake, activation

DO

  • Primary watering (deep, soil-level)
  • Hand pollination (tap flowers / brush)
  • Light inspection (wilting, pests)
  • Morning harvest

AVOID

  • Heavy pruning
  • Strong foliar sprays


🌞 Late Morning–Midday (~9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

Plant mode: Photosynthesis peak

DO

  • Shade management (if extreme heat)
  • Structural checks (stakes, trellis)

AVOID

  • Watering (unless emergency)
  • Feeding
  • Pruning


🌤️ Late Afternoon (~2:00 p.m. – Sundown)

Plant mode: Transition, stress recovery

DO (conditional)

  • Backup watering if soil is clearly dry
  • Soil-only watering
  • Light cleanup pruning (yellow leaves)

AVOID

  • Foliar feeding
  • Overwatering in humid weather


🌙 Evening (After sunset – before full dark)

Plant mode: Growth preparation

DO

  • Soil feeding (organic liquid nutrients / “teas”)
  • Training vines
  • Tying stems
  • Adding fruit slings

AVOID

  • Foliar sprays
  • Root disturbance


🌌 Night (Full dark)

Plant mode: Growth, repair, root activity

DO

  • Nothing (observe only)

AVOID

  • Watering unless emergency
  • Spraying
  • Digging or repotting

Day = make energy
Night = use energy
